You're the only one authorized to use your debit card. If there are other account holders on your checking account, they can each have their own card.

It depends on what kind of ATM you use. We do not charge a service fee when you use one of our ATMs, regardless of the type of account you have. If you use an ATM outside of our preferred network, you may be charged surcharge, usage or other fees by the ATM operator or network. Learn more about our ATM options.‍ ‍ See note 2

No. A USAA Bank debit card lets you make purchases and conduct transactions worldwide with all merchants who accept Visa. Your debit card is primarily associated with the money available in your checking account. A USAA ATM card is primarily linked to a savings account and cannot be used to make purchases with a merchant.

  1. Some companies may not accept debit cards as a form of payment or may charge fees for using a debit card. Transactions using your debit card are subject to the ATM/Debit Card Transaction Limits disclosed in the USAA Federal Savings Bank Account and Service Fee Schedule.

  2. When you use a non-USAA Bank ATM outside of our preferred network, you may incur surcharge, usage, or other fees charged by the ATM operator or network. We refund up to $10 per monthly statement cycle in non-USAA Bank ATM surcharge or usage fees for transactions made at non-USAA Bank ATMs. 1% Foreign Transactions Fee may apply.
