What is the Medicare AEP?
AEP refers to Medicare Annual Enrollment Period. This is the time anyone eligible for Medicare can join, switch or drop a Medicare Advantage plan or Prescription Drug Plan for the next year. We work with the carriers Humana and Aetna and any 2025 plan you sign up for during AEP will start January 1.
-
What should I do during AEP?
Before the enrollment period ends December 7, review any changes your insurer may have made to your current plan for the coming year.
It's also a good idea to update your drug list and compare each plan's prescription coverage to help decide if you need to switch.
You won't need to take any action if you want to keep your current plan.
