What’s whole life insurance?

It’s a type of permanent life insurance. USAA Secure™ Whole Life Insurance provides consistent coverage that lasts your entire life with fixed premiums. 

As long as you pay the premiums, your beneficiaries will get money to pay for things like funeral expenses and debt.

Easy application process

All you’ll need to do is add a few details about yourself and select your coverage. You may not need a medical exam.

Flexible coverage

Anyone ages 18 to 85 may qualify for a policy with coverage ranging from $50,000 to $10 million.

Fixed premiums

You can be sure that your premium won’t change. Even if your health changes, your payments stay the same.

Payment options

How much you’ll pay for whole life coverage depends on several things, including:

  • Your age.
  • Your health and lifestyle.
  • Your occupation.
  • How much coverage you get.

Whole life is permanent life insurance. It helps protect long-term needs like burial expenses or providing money for your kids. It also builds cash value that you can use while you’re still living.

For temporary coverage, consider term life insurance. It helps protect short-term needs like paying a mortgage or putting kids through college. Term life insurance doesn’t build cash value.

No. You won’t be able to change your payment option after you get your policy. So choose one of the following options that best fits your needs:

  • Pay for 20 years: You’ll pay off your policy in 20 years, but the coverage lasts for the rest of your life. Payments are usually higher with this option.
  • Pay until you’re 65: You’ll make payments until you turn 65, but the coverage lasts your whole life. This can be a good option if you want to pay off your policy by the time you retire.
  • Pay for life: You’ll make payments for the rest of your life, but they’ll be lower with this option.

If the additional coverage is term insurance, the maximum level period must be selected based off the insured’s attained age as outlined in the rider.
