It’s a service that helps qualifying members reduce the risk of losing their home to an active wildfire. If you live in a designated at-risk area, we’ll automatically enroll you in the program at no additional cost.
You’ll need an active USAA Homeowners or Rental Property policy in Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Washington or Wyoming.
Condos, townhomes, cooperatives, apartments and mobile homes aren’t eligible.

We’ll add this complimentary service automatically to eligible policies. It’ll continue as long as your policy remains active.
Your enrollment authorizes wildland firefighters to respond quickly, assess possible damage and fight a wildfire on your property.
There's no guarantee a crew can prevent damage or respond to all wildfires or member properties.
Wildfire professionals will monitor fire activity before, during and after the event to help reduce your risk of loss.
If they access your property during a wildfire, they’ll leave a notice to let you know they’ve been there.
Our program service providers are a group of professional, certified wildland firefighters.
RedZone specializes in monitoring wildfire activity. Capstone and Chloeta have the equipment and resources to provide timely services when a wildfire is imminent.
After RedZone detects a wildfire threat, they may send experienced Capstone and Chloeta firefighters to the area.

Your homeowners or rental property policy must be active to participate in the program. Once we reinstate your policy, your home will automatically be reenrolled in the program.
The chance a wildfire could affect your home is growing. Hot, dry weather and the number of homes built in or near wooded areas can increase wildfire risks.

We securely pass your address to Capstone or Chloeta. This ensures firefighting responders have the information they need to try to protect your home.
