Your liability coverage should equal the value of your net worth, or the total of your assets minus liabilities.
If your net worth is higher than the maximum coverage allowed, consider purchasing umbrella insurance.
You can remove your mortgage company from your policy by going to your Homeowners Account Summary page and selecting “Update Mortgage.”
If you’d been paying your homeowners insurance through your escrow account, you’ll now receive that bill directly from USAA.
Your coverage may be limited if your property is unoccupied or vacant.
If your home is unoccupied or vacant, please contact USAA to discuss your situation.
If you decide to rent your property out on a regular and recurring basis, you’ll need to change your policy to a landlord insurance policy. Call us to get a quote for your new policy.
If you have another active USAA primary property policy, you can cancel your homeowners insurance on usaa.com from your Homeowners Account Summary page.

Discounts and savings
You can save up to 10% when you bundle with your USAA Auto Insurance.
If the item goes faster than 15 mph by design or modification and it’s designed for use on public roads, it won’t be covered by your USAA Homeowners policy.
