Accessibility at USAA

Our approach to accessibility

We're committed to serving individuals with disabilities across all of our members, potential members and their families. We do that by making sure our online content is easy to use and understand. We also strive to make sure our buildings and kiosks are safe and accessible.

We never charge you a fee when you request services, accommodations or auxiliary aids.

Contact us about how we can help with accessibility.

If you need help using our facilities, services or online content let us know. We’d also like you to share your comments and questions about accessibility.

  • ATMs with Braille instructions, tactile input keys and headphone jacks.
  • Accessible safe deposit boxes.

Access to USAA information

We regularly optimize our website and mobile app so you can:

  • Read content with standard output devices and assistive technologies.
  • Navigate using standard input devices like keyboard, mouse, touch and voice command.

Many USAA documents are available as screen-reader compatible PDFs, in large print and in Braille. You can set your document preferences from your member profile or by contacting us at 800-531-USAA (8722).

Desktop Help

We design usaa.com to support a range of user needs and assistive technologies.

You can adjust your system settings for:

  • Color contrast.
  • Text and background colors.
  • Text style and size.
  • Screen magnification.
  • Mouse pointer style.

If you use a screen reader, we recommend:

  • JAWS for Edge or Chrome on Windows.
  • NVDA for Firefox on Windows.

We also recommend that you add dictionary entries to your screen reader, so it pronounces abbreviations correctly.

View recommended dictionary entries and keyboard shortcuts.

Mobile Help

If you use a screen reader, we recommend TalkBack. There are also accessibility apps built into many Android devices. You can explore these options on your device or consult Android's support pages:
